What travels

Three structures, documented and versioned. The first is the carrier; the other two are what it carries.

CoT messages

Cursor on Target is the transport. Anything already reading CoT on your network receives what SmarTak sends without being taught a new protocol.

Status code

Asset and operator state compressed into a compact encoding: readiness and posture, small enough to send often.

WnA code

The weapon and ammunition identifier, so what is reported matches what is actually being carried rather than a generic default.

The constraint

Every bit has
to earn its place.

The link is narrow, shared and intermittent, and it does not get better when it matters. SmarTak packs what a weapon and its operator are doing into a few bytes, so the picture still arrives when the bandwidth does not, and arrives in a structure every platform on the network reads the same way.
